USDA National Organic Program

 
Our Roaster is a certified Organic Coffee Handler and Processor by the Georgia Crop Improvement Association Organic Certification Program (GCIAOCP). We abide by the standards established by the National Organic Program.

 






TransFair USA (Fair-Trade)

Fair Trade Certification empowers farmers and farm workers to lift themselves out of poverty by investing in their farms and communities, protecting the environment, and developing the business skills necessary to compete in the global marketplace. TransFair USA, a non-profit organization, is the only independent, third-party certifier of Fair Trade products in the U.S. TransFair�s rigorous audit system, which tracks products from farm to finished product, verifies industry compliance with Fair Trade criteria. TransFair allows U.S. companies to display the Fair-Trade Certified label on products that meet strict Fair Trade standards.






Rainforest Alliance The mission of the sustainable agriculture program is to integrate productive agriculture, biodiversity conservation and human development. Farmers, companies, cooperatives and landowners who participate in our programs meet comprehensive, rigorous social and environmental standards. The Rainforest Alliance provides farmers with incentives to meet our standards, and encourages companies and consumers to support the farms making improvements toward sustainability.Sustainable agriculture is at the center of the Rainforest Alliance�s efforts to conserve ecosystems by protecting healthy soils, rivers and wildlife and by promoting dignified living conditions for farm workers and neighboring rural communities





Coffee Kids - Grounds for hope.

Coffee Kids currently works in five countries: Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Peru to help coffee-farming families maintain year-round sustainability. This helps to keep families fed and work ensured. They also work with community members to identify challenges they face and then partner with local nonprofit organizations to develop projects that address these challenges on a grassroots level while respecting the cultural integrity, intelligence and ingenuity of the people we serve.





Smithsonian Migratory Bird Commission

The Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center encourages the production of shade grown coffee, and the conservation of migratory birds, through its "Bird Friendly�" coffee program.
